The main feature will be the live judging of the submissions to the Judges’ Eye competition “Nature/Wildlife”. The “Show and Share” that will focus on members’ summertime photos. You are invited to submit one photo to the gallery "My Favourite Photo, Summer 2026” which you feel captures some memorable aspect of your summer activities. We know a picture tells a thousand words but we would like you to expand on that by telling us what prompted the photo and how it is significant to you.
Please Remember: 2026-2027 membership fee of $75 is now payable. You may pay through e-transfer to sidneycameraclub.ca@gmail.com, or by cheque/cash at either our Tuesday meeting or at Wednesday morning coffee.
Location Shoot:
2026 CAPA Coast-to-Coast Photo Walk, and Location Shoot, September 19th:
The Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA) is thrilled to announce the 2nd Annual 2026 CAPA Coast-to-Coast Photo Walk, happening all day on Saturday, September 19th. As part of this national event the Sidney Camera Club invites both members and non-member photographers of all levels to join in a two hour walk through Sidney to the waterfront for street photography and sea-side shots to capture images of our beautiful hometown to share with others across the country. The walk will begin at the Mary Winspear Centre at 3:30 pm and end at the bandshell at the waterfront at 5:30 pm.
