Tuesday, October 13th, 7pm Mary Winspear Centre, Room 4:
~Presentation by Kathryn Delany- “Composite Photography – Merging Realities"- exploring the creative process behind transforming ordinary photographs into visual stories. Details here.
~You are invited to submit one photo to the gallery "My Favourite Photo, Summer 2026.” Images will be shown at the meeting.
Location Shoot:
* October 31st Location Shoot- Birdwatching at Esquimalt Lagoon, 7:30 am.
Capture bird activity during sunrise at one of the best bird-watching locations in the area. Sunrise at 7:58 a.m. will coincide with a low/rising tide which will attract many species.
Bill Stewart will be our leader and mentor identifying the expected species and suggesting how to approach the birds. Please register on the website for details for where to park and meet Bill.
Breakfast at Denny’s in Colwood will follow with no registration necessary.
Competitions:
* October Theme Competition is "Wet." Closing date for submissions is October 13th.
This competition will have the competition images critiqued by P.S.A. Judge, Shirley Borrmann.
Results and discussion at the October 27 meeting.
* SPAC: Closing date for submissions is October 13th. The club will determine the 10 images to submit to SPAC - live at our meeting on October 27.
You must be at the meeting to vote. This should be fun.
Club News:
* Sidney Camera Club Photography Exhibit, Mary Winspear Centre: We are exhibiting 25 beautiful and eclectic pieces of our work.
The Exhibit runs throughout the month of October in the lobby at MWC. Please pop in and bring your friends!
* Our membership fee for the 2026-2027 season is $75. Further details are on the Membership page.
Everyone is welcome to join us for Wednesday morning coffee at the Shoal Centre, 9:30-11:00 in the Craft Room.
