Creating an Account on the Sidney Camera Club Website
Our website is the place to find information about the club, information about current competitions, view and post to photo galleries, find executive contacts, and more. You must be registered as a member in order to do this. To register as a new member, follow the instructions below. Once registered, you can log-in to your account for access to upload your images into our club competitions, contribute to member galleries from location shoots, register for events, see what other members have contributed to the website, and more. See the “Membership” page for current fee information.
Follow the steps below:
- Click on “Login” at the top right.
- Go to the “Create an Account” section at the bottom of the page and click on “Membership Information and Membership Request”. • Click on Create a “New User Account and Request Membership”
- You are now in the form to “Create a Membership Account”. You MUST enter Login Name, Password, Confirm Password, First Name, Last Name, and Email Address in the fields. The other personal information is optional, but recommended. Member ID will be assigned after your membership has been approved.
- Choose the Member Type option you are requesting. The default is Full, Competing, which means that you are able to participate and upload images. An Associate membership does not have the ability to upload images, so most users should choose Full/Competing. Click on “Continue” when all your information has been entered.
- If you didn’t enter an address on the previous page, you will now be asked to do so. This is optional, but recommended. Click “Add this Address” when complete or “Cancel Address Creation” if you choose not to, then click “Finished”.
- You have now completed the Request portion of becoming a member and will be taken back to the club homepage where you are logged in but your membership is not yet approved.
- Your membership request has been sent to the website administrators for approval.
- You are required to pay the applicable membership fee before final approval. (See the membership page for the current rate.) E-transfers for fees can be sent to sidneycameraclub.ca@gmail.com. Get in touch for alternate payment instructions if you can’t do e-transfers.
- Once an administrator has approved your account, you will be notified and you will then be able to access all of the “members only” sections.
Please ask for help from the website administrators if you are having difficulty navigating or using any portions of the website. It works very well once you are familiar with it. There are many self-help videos available on most pages for guidance as well. We look forward to your participation in the Sidney Camera Club.
